April 11th was a start to the rest of my career... I had my first fashion show at The Frank Juarez Gallery. It was remarkable. I spent a little over four months making eight pieces. I made four girl outfits and then four guy outfits. Each girl outfit was paired with a guys outfit as a set. It went really well; better then expected. I was there all day, and as the models kept coming I helped get them ready. People came and it was a great crowd. I was in such relief everything played out nicely.. I will never forget my first fashion show, and it's incredible how many people are supporting me along the way.
The Saturdy after the show, The Frank Juarez Gallery had a reception for Dale Knaak and this mom and little girl came up to me (whom I've never met before) and the mom asked me about my show. The little girl wanted to ask questions because she was interested in fashion as well. The mom referred to me as "the fashion designer". It's so cool how things get around in my home town, but it was one of the best things so far in my life. I really can't wait to learn more about my passion and keep creating.
